Gene De De' Wright

Mr. Gene D. 'De De' Wright age 52, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016. Gene 'De De' was born in Indianapolis to Gene H. Wright and Josephine Sims-Wright.He resided in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended John Marshall High School prior to moving back to Indianapolis with family. 'De De' as many called him, professed his faith in Christ at an early age. He worked several jobs, including Carrier Corporation and Federal Express. He was also known for his musical talents which he loved and enjoyed playing for others.He was also known in Milwaukee for his talent in skating, where he was called 'The King of the Palace'. Gene 'De De' Wright leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother, Josephine 'Jo Jo' Wright, his sister Pamela Smithson, his son Genesis Hart, his daughters, Legena Brown and Lena Shields, granddaughter Jonas Davis and a host of other family members and friends who loved him.Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4th, from 10am until service time of 12 noon at Lavenia and Summers Home for Funerals, 5811 E. 38th Street. Interment will be in New Crown Cemetery.
