Mr. Ervin “Holy” Davis, Jr. was born October 2, 1938 to the late Annabelle Walker and Ervin Davis Sr. in Memphis, Tennessee.
At an early age Ervin known as “Holy” professed his trust in Christ.
Ervin attended Crispus Attucks High School where is he showed athleticism playing football. Upon graduating from high school, he diligently worked numerous jobs where he eventually retired after 25 years of service from IU Medical Center on the IUPUI campus.
Ervin “Holy” genuinely loved life. He enjoyed being around and entertaining friends and family with his dancing, singing and his distinguished humorous laughter. As the eldest sibling, he ensured that his family was ALWAYS taken care of and that they gained the knowledge they needed to encounter and endure whatever life threw their way. He took pride in his appearance from top to bottom, being known and recognized as one of “the back in the day” original O.G.’s.
Ervin “Holy” Davis, Jr. departed and transitioned on Sunday, April 19, 2020. God letting him know, it is time for you my son to hang up your earthly dancing shoes and enter the stairway to heaven. Bring now your heavenly dancing shoes showing ALL here your famous Indy Steppin’.
Ervin leaves to cherish his memories and legacy: Anna Darlene Walker (O.D.), Cindy Michelle Walker-George (Tyrone), DeWayne Walker (Evelyn), Shelly Jean Tucker, Janice Marie Walker along with a host of nieces, nephews, numerous relatives, and friends.
