Elizabeth Ann (Coles) Williams was born into this world on February 16, 1951 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Eugene Coles Sr. and Maude A. (Herron) Coles.
Elizabeth, affectionately known as 'Liz', professed a hope in Jesus Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Dr. Andrew J. Brown of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. Liz later joined the family of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Curtis L. Vance.
Liz attended Indianapolis Public School #26, Crispus Attucks High School and she graduated from Harry E. Wood High School. Liz was employed at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Service Supply and Indianapolis Public Schools where she later retired due to illness.
Liz was united in Holy Matrimony to Donald Williams on August 19, 1972.
Those who knew Liz knew how much she loved and cherished her family. She loved having her weekly 'Sister Time' with her sisters and spending time with her family during the holidays or whenever she could get out and about. Liz loved keeping in touch with old friends and listening to her 'Motown Oldies'.
Elizabeth Ann (Coles) Williams was called to her Heavenly Home where she longed to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the age of 67 years. Her parents, Eugene Coles Sr. and Maude A. (Herron) Coles; four brothers: Anthony T., Michael E., Anthony T. and Larry J. Coles; and brother-in-law, Ronald Sweatt all preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory to her three children: Tina D. Newson, Shanda R. Newson and Tyron D. Williams; six grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Trey D. Jones, Shantina D. Moore, Daylen, Henry, Deonte' Newson, Ayriel L. Williams and Tori D. Williams; six siblings: Eugene W. Jr., (Velma), Linda C. Sweatt, Mark S. Coles (Angela), Marcella L. (Antonio), Kevin J. Coles and Lisa M. Coles; a host of nieces, nephews, loving family and friends.
Liz left this world with great joy and peace knowing that she would be with her Heavenly Father, she will be truly and greatly missed.
