John C. Davis, III

69, of Indianapolis, passed away September 24, 2017. He was born September 15, 1948 in West Point, MS to the late John S. and Gustoria C. Davis. John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, friend and pastor.

John is survived by his wife, Vernica C. Davis, four daughters, Nichol (Kim) Felder, Michelle (Malcolm) Davis-Smith, Brandi (Curtis) Davis-Green, and LaTanya Davis, one son, John (Aster) Davis IV, five grandsons, six granddaughters, one great grandson, five sisters, six brothers, a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends, and his entire Sanders Temple congregation.

Visitation will be Friday, September 29, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral will be Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be held at Sanders Temple, COGIC 3516 E. 39th Street
Indianapolis, IN 46205, where he served as Pastor for 19 years.
