Dominique Dante Chatman

Dominique Dante Chatman (Pete/Peter) was born on July 3, 1984, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Shahadah Wilson and Jeffrey Harris. Dominique was later adopted by his great aunt, Brenda Chatman and her late husband, William Chatman.

Dominique attended Arlington High School, Job Corps and went on to pursue career furtherment at Ivy Tech.

In his early years, Dominique expressed a love for music, cars, basketball and the aspiration to be an entrepreneur. Opening a multitude of business ventures including airbrushing, t-shirt designing, selling candy and minor mechanic work.

Dominique would later solidify a foundation of businesses such as PC Trucking, LLC.; The Underground Shuttle, LLC; and Upward Auto, LLC. Dominique was also affiliated with 3 Brothers Auto, LLC; Tom’s Auto Sales; and Gilbert's Auto Sales in Terre Haute; exuding a passion for the automotive industry.

Beyond business, Dominique was known for his generosity and unwavering support for others. He believed in uplifting those around him and took pride in helping others succeed. His humble nature and positive outlook on life left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Even in the eye of adversity, he remained optimistic.

Dominique’s presence brought warmth and comfort to those who knew him. His kindness, wisdom and introspective nature will be deeply missed, but forever cherished by those whose lives’ he touched.

Dominique departed from this life and transcended in spirit on Friday, March 7, 2025.

Dominique was preceded in death by his sister, Kendra Hoskins and Adoptive father, William Chatman.

Dominique leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Ayriana Linae D. Clay; mothers, Brenda Chatman and Shahadah Wilson; father, Jeffrey Harris; brothers, Eric L. Hill, Jerry Hoskins, Antoine Hoskins, Terrell Hoskins, Terrance Hoskins; sister, LaTasha Wade (Kelvin Wade); nieces Ciara Hoskins, Amaya Hoskins, Aaliyah Campbell, Jasmine Hoskins, Mia Hoskins and Laniya Renee Kendra Hoskins; nephews, Xavier Wade, Malik Wade, Terrell Hoskins, Jr., Abdul Malik Elmustapha, Abdul Rahim Elmustapha and Miles Hoskins.
