Dion McKissick Sr. born September 29, 1993, to Tonya Bobo-Mckissick and Desmond Mckissick in San Antonio Texas at Lackland Airforce base. The only son born of this union. Dion was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed playing all sports, his absolute favorite being baseball. He started playing baseball at the age of 5 and played up to his teenage years. He was a left fielder for the Warren Central Warriors team.
Dion also had a love for motor cross and motorcycles. From this he developed a passion for motorcycle riding, so much so, that he often referred to his motorcycles as “Baby” and was instrumental in developing the motorcycle club known as “Da Hooliganz”. He also enjoyed playing golf with his father & vacationing in Florida. Dion was also a family man and provider. He was employed as a traveling forklift driver with LSPM and worked for Hertz.
Dion was a phenomenal father. He had an unwavering, undying, and eternal love for his two sons, Dion Mckissick Jr. and Dierre Mckissick. He shared this same love for his fiancé Dachelle. Dion had an indestructible bond with his two sisters, affectionately called “Desi” Deslynn and “Bird” Janiah.
Dion truly loved sports. A few of his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Lakers, and New York Yankees. He and his cousin Korey shared this interest and would often watch and play together. He also shared an unbreakable bond with his cousins Chaz, Wes, Korey, and Darren, whom he loved to travel, play video games, shop, and enjoy life with. Dion shared an everlasting bond with his grandmother Barbara Harding, whom he lovingly referred to as “Granny Barbie”.
Dion Mckissick Sr. was loved by many and will be sorely missed by all. Dion Mckissick Sr. transitioned from this life to eternity on July 3, 2021 at the tender age of 27. He leaves to cherish his memory, legacy, and name: his loving mother Tonya Bobo-Mckissick, father Desmond Mckissick (Lorine), sisters Deslynn and Janiah, grandparents Booker and Celestine Mckissick and Basil & Barbara Harding, Aunt Myla Eldridge, Uncles Keith Bobo (Vickie) Marc Grayson, and Christopher Bobo, sons Dion Mckissick Jr. and Dierre L. Mckissick, fiancé Dachelle Banks, and step siblings, Brittany Glover (Karter), Tiffany and Shaun Woods.
