Diana Lynn (Miller) Rogers

Diana Lynn (Miller) Rogers was born October 10, 1957 to Mary Lee and Cleo James Miller Jr. in Indianapolis, Indiana. She received her education in the Indianapolis Public Schools.

Diana was blessed with her eldest daughter, Katina in 1974. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Fredrick Rogers Sr. and from this union she was blessed with two children, Alisa and Fredrick Jr.

She was a member of Church of Christ Holiness, USA, where she gave her life to Christ at a young age and loved her church family.

Diana had a very strong work ethic and worked tirelessly to provide for her family and two dogs, Peanut and Rosie, whom she loved dearly. For the last 18+ years, Diana worked for Securitas Security and she spent most of her time as a guard for the Kroger Grocery store on 16th Street and Park Avenue in Indianapolis.

Diana had a sweet disposition and enjoyed spending time with her family. She could be counted on to call each of her children and siblings regularly just to check on everyone to see how they were doing. She had a beautiful smile and loving heart and will be missed by many.

God called Diana home on May 7, 2018. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Miller and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

She leaves to cherish and honor her memory her daughters, Katina Marie Miller and Alisa Rogers; son, Fredrick Rogers Jr.; granddaughter, Kiarah Miller 'Sugar Bear'; father, Cleo James Miller Jr.; siblings: Eula Marie Cowherd, Cleo James Miller III (Karen), Brenda Lee Wright (Michael), William Michael Miller (Pat), Sheila Ann Gray, Maurice Miller, Richard Miller and Crystal Elaine Kelley (Michael); companion, Mr. Albert Purcell; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life was held at Lavenia & Summers Home for Funerals 5811 East 38th Street INDIANAPOLIS IN 46218 at 1:00:00 PM on 5/25/2018.
