De'Andre C. 'Dre' Walker

De'Andre Cortez Walker Sr. was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 6, 1991. He accepted Christ into his life at an early age and sung in the children's choir as he faithfully attended church with his grandmother. De'Andre later relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana along with his family in 1998 at the age of 6 yrs old, shortly after the tragic loss of his step father, Damon Leon Figures Sr., whom he loved and cherished very much.

He attended Broad Ripple High School and later graduated from Emmerich Manual High School where he proudly continued his true passion for playing basketball for his school team and winning the championship during his senior year.

De'Andre later became the very proud and overjoyed father of his now 7 year old son, De'Andre Cortez Walker Jr., born on March 29, 2011. As he continued through his adulthood, De'Andre faithfully worked very hard in being the very best father and provider to his son that he could possibly be.

He continued to move forward in his life and married his wife, Lucy Mlauzi on July 11, 2017, whom he now leaves behind along with his mother, Jenett Walker; father, LaVaughn 'Pepe' Wheeler; brothers, Damon Leon Figures Jr. and Shalin Lee Carter; grandmothers, Edna Richmond and Lillie 'Kim' Wheeler; grandfather, Prentiss Royston; along with a wealth of very cherished and loved aunts, uncles, cousins, his personal extended families that opened up their hearts and homes and accepted to love and care for De'Andre as one of their own, friends, supporters, and mentors.
