Crystle "Ms. Q" Quarles, known as a Lead Teacher at Minnie Hartman Preschool, passed away on October 25, 2023, in her home in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on December 3, 1965, in Indianapolis, making her 57 years old at the time of her passing.
Ms. Q had a deep passion for education and dedicated herself to shaping the young minds of children at Minnie Hartman Preschool. Her commitment to her career as a lead teacher was unwavering, leaving an indelible impact on the lives of countless students who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.
Education held a special place in Ms. Q's heart. She graduated from Indianapolis Public School #1 and went on to further expand her knowledge by obtaining a degree in Child Development from Ivy Tech College. Her love for learning was contagious and she instilled that same enthusiasm in her students.
Beyond the classroom walls, Ms. Q touched the lives of many through her kindness and generosity. She had a remarkable personality that reflected her caring nature. Always with a smile on her face, she had an innate ability to make everyone feel welcomed and loved. Ms. Q had a soft spot for children and would often be seen sharing candy with them, brightening their days and bringing joy to their hearts.
But it wasn't just children who benefitted from Ms. Q's warm-heartedness; she also dedicated herself to helping the less fortunate in her community by actively feeding the homeless. Her selflessness knew no bounds as she worked tirelessly to ensure that those in need were cared for with dignity and respect.
In addition to her career and charitable endeavors, Ms. Q found immense joy in being a loving mother to her two children, Jazzemine Quarles and Jaylen Quarles and her Grandchilren Ja'Vonnie Morris, Tre'Morris & Ka'Vonn Morris They were a source of endless pride and happiness for her. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her own family, as she adored her grandchildren with all her heart.
Ms. Q's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her parents, David Moore and Gwen Moore, as well as her siblings Reagan Moore and Trina Moore. Her nephews, Terrio Brooks and Da-Vontay Moore, held a special place in her heart.
A woman of great friendships, Ms. Q forged a bond with Vickie Hunt that transcended mere friendship. Vickie was not just a friend but also considered as family to Ms. Q.
The memory of Ms. Q will forever be cherished by the countless lives she touched and positively influenced throughout her lifetime. Her legacy as an educator, mentor, caregiver, and advocate for the less fortunate will live on through the hearts and minds of all those who were privileged to have known her.
The visitation for Ms. Q will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on November 10, 2023, at Lavenia & Summers Home for Funerals located at 5811 E 38th St in Indianapolis, Indiana. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
As we bid farewell to Crystle "Ms. Q" Quarles, let us remember her for the love she shared, the lives she bettered, and the compassion she embodied. May her soul find eternal peace as we carry forward her legacy of kindness and generosity in our own lives.
