Christopher Lamont Flood, cherished husband, devoted father, beloved son, and brother, passed away on March 16, 2024, at the age of 45 years old. He was born on September 20, 1978, in Indianapolis, IN, to Kenneth A. Flood and Lisa K. (Tucker) Adetou. Christopher was lovingly adopted by his grandparents Albert and Rose Flood. He was the oldest sibling and is preceded in death by his younger brother Christopher Lee Flood.
Christopher found profound joy in his marriage to Ashley Flood, whom he wed on August 18, 2018. Together, they shared a bond built on love, respect, and unwavering commitment. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his children Ezra, Harlem, Phoenix, and Leighton. Although his son Solomon preceded him in death, their bond remains eternal.
Educated at International Business College, Christopher earned a degree in Computer Applications and Programming, setting the stage for a successful career. For 20 years, he served diligently at WFYI as a network administrator, later transitioning to a role as a broadcast engineer with the Indiana Pacers. His dedication and expertise made him an invaluable asset in his field.
Christopher's vibrant spirit illuminated the lives of all who knew him. He had an infectious love for comedy, music, and gaming. Christopher was particularly fond of Prince, finding solace and inspiration in songs such as "The Ballad of Dorothy Parker" and "If I Was Your Girlfriend." He also loved Tupac’s "Souljah's Revenge." Christopher enjoyed creating beats in his spare time, showcasing his creativity and passion for music.
A man of faith, Christopher was baptized in Jesus' name at the New Haven Missionary Baptist Church on February 17, 2019. He lived his life guided by principles of humility, compassion, and service to others, leaving an indelible mark on all who crossed his path.
Christopher Lamont Flood will be remembered for his warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering love for his family. While he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Christopher's legacy of love and laughter will be cherished forevermore.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ashley Flood; children, Ezra, Harlem, Phoenix, and Leighton; parents, Kenneth A. Flood, Lisa K. (Tucker) Adetou; stepmother, Kymberly Pinnick-Flood; siblings, Terry Flood, Melca Bowers, NiKisha Hatcher, Derek Long, Jamia Trice, and Kenneth Pinnick-Flood; a close cousin, Andrice Tucker, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
