Cherylene Scott-Grady, 74 passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2020, at her home in Indianapolis, IN.

Cherylene was born on February 17, 1946 in Du Quoin, Illinois. She was the daughter of the late Orlando Scott Sr. and Alma (Keesee) Scott.

She was a 1963 graduate of Du Quoin Township High School, and later received her bachelor’s degree at IUPUI of Indianapolis in 2003.

Cherylene retired from the United States Postal Service and after retirement, she was a substitute teacher for the City of Indianapolis School District, of which she loved. Cherylene also enjoyed traveling all over the world. She was a member of the Devington Association in Indianapolis, where she organized various functions and causes for neighborhood cleanup, which is now called Eva Tally Park.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Lee Grady Sr.; daughter, Alma Eleeta Wesley; two sons, Richard Lee Grady Jr. “Ricky” and Torrey Orlando Grady; two grandchildren, Teryn and Devyn Wesley; and one great-grandson, Elijah Taylor Drane; brother, Orlando Scott Jr. (Martha) of Cordova, TN; a host of loving family and friends.

Her parents; four brothers: Carl Dean Scott Sr., Donald Scott, LeWarren Scott and Charles Scott Sr.; and a sister, Beverly Terrell all preceded her in death.
