Chaunshay "Shay" Anderson

Chaunshay L. Anderson, daughter of Stevena K. Pippin-Anderson and Chauncey L. Anderson, Jr. was born August 29, 1996, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was known by most as “Shay”.

Shay was a joy and a pleasure to be around. As a baby, Shay had the biggest smile. As a toddler, Shay was a very energetic and adventurous. At a very young age, Shay would remember songs and would walk around singing them without music playing. Deborah Cox’s song, “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here” to note. As Shay grew older, her passion for cooking grew as well. Shay was an extraordinary cook. She would cook a holiday style meal on a regular day. She would sometimes create menus and sale plates. Shay was also good at styling hair.  Above all, Shay loved her family, her fiancé, Anthony Jenkins, and her children.

On April 25, 2024 at the age of 27 years old, the Lord called for his beloved to rest. Shay was preceded death departing this life was her aunt, Rasheda Richardson, great grandmother, Catherine West-Hunt and cousin, Tavion Taylor.

Anderson, Sr.; siblings, Tijaie Jones, Chauntay Anderson, Chaunyae Anderson, Chauncey Nunley, Chauncey Anderson, III, Chaunzey Anderson, Tehuti Anderson, D’Wise Anderson; and a host of beloved nieces, aunts, cousins and friends.
