Charles James 'Charlie' Miller

Mr. Charles James Miller 'Charlie', age 85, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 He was the oldest child of Robert George Miller and Viola Miller. He attended Public School in Gallatin, Tennessee and IPS #23 and Crispus Attucks High School.Mr. Miller served his country during the Korean War receiving several medals, stars and ribbons.He was a supervisor at Imperial Packaging for over 31 years. He also worked at Walmart and the Blind School for a period of time.Charles J. Miller 'Charlie' leaves to cherish his memory: two sons, Darrell Lyn Miller (Myka) and James Gregory Miller (Daphne); two daughters, Yvonne Denise Miller and Yvette Denise Miller Gipson (Avery); two sisters Maggie Bass (Clarence) and Earnestine Wallace; special nephew, James Donelson, Jr. (Doris) and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many cherished friends.Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 10am until 12 Noon at Lavenia and Summers Home for Funerals 5811 E. 38th Street. Funeral service will follow at Noon.
