Mrs. Carrie Mae Gunn McQueen, 76, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015.She was born in Chrisitan County, KY and professed a hope in Christ at an early age. She attended Indianapolis Public Schools upon moving to Indianapolis, Indiana.Carrie worked for Wash-Rite and for RCA (Thompson Electronics) for 16 years before retiring in 1969. In 1990, she worked at Millers Merry Manor in dietary for a year. She was a member of Greater Gethsemane MBC where she loved to sing in the choir. She also enjoyed being taught God's Word and working with other ministries as her health allowed.Her hobbies included watching TV, singing, cooking and spending time with her family.Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Monday, December 7th from 10am until 12 Noon at Greater Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church 902 Dr. Martin Luther King St. Funeral service will follow at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens.She leaves behind to celebrate her life; sons, Ronnie Henderson, Steven Blane, Markham (Carol) Blane, Robert Harris and step-son Willie McQueen; daughters Mary Etta Fuqua and Eleena (Anthony) Morse; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, 1 sister-in-law and a host of other loving family, church family and friends.
