Calvin "Cal" O'Gwin

Calvin was born June 2, 1951, to L.D. and Maggie O’Gwin of Indianapolis, IN. Calvin was also known by “Cal” and “Cowboy”.

Calvin received his education through Indianapolis Public Schools graduating from Manual High School in 1969.

Calvin loved to fish, travel, and work on cars. He took pride in providing for his family and dedicated himself to Inland Paperboard, where he worked for over 20 years.

Calvin worked with great depth and had a special relationship with everyone in his life. He was a beautiful and loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Calvin departed this life on May 21, 2022, peacefully at his home. He was 70 years of age.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Valerie Jean (Douglas) O’Gwin; sister, Wilma O’Gwin; and brother Larry O’Gwin.

Calvin leaves behind to cherish his memories, his daughters, Cheresa Montgomery, Deneva Snow, Angel O’Gwin, Savanah O’Gwin, and Calisha O’Gwin; son, Calvon Dre O’Gwin; sisters, Charlotte Stanton of Connersville, IN, and Reatter Williams of Toledo, OH.; brothers, Claude O’Gwin and Jimmie Bullock of Jackson, MS.; the mother of his son, Regina Graves; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren
