Bobby Drye was born on September 4, 1938 in Eunice, KY to the late Samuel and Beulah Drye. He was preceded in death by his brothers James RC Drye, Elbert Drye and nephew Robert Drye.

Accepting Christ as his Lord and Savior and being baptized at the age of 10, he joined St. John's Missionary Baptist Church in 1983 and was a member until his passing.

Bobby attended Eunice Public Schools. He moved to Indianapolis in 1955 and attended Crispus Attucks High School.

Bobby married the love of his life, Martha Lee (Johnson) Drye on September 4, 1965. To this union, three children were born.

Bobby worked at Stark and Wetzel from 1965-1978 as a butcher. He worked at National Starch and Chemical Company from 1978-2001 as a machine operator and retired in August 2001 after 23 years. He also did independent janitorial work part time for many years.

Bobby enjoyed doing yard work, gardening, canning, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed watching a good ball game, boxing, war and western movies, listening to quartet gospel music and attending noon bible study. Lastly, he enjoyed a good 'down home' meal with all of the 'fixings'.

Bobby Drye went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the age of 78.

Drye; neices Venitra Crawford and Tanna Drye; great nieces; great nephews, and a host of relatives and friends, all whom he loved very dearly.
