Mrs. Betty M. Turentine, age 78, of Columbia, Tennessee was born to the late Mildred S. Thomas and Charlie P. Thomas. She was married to Holy Matrimony to John W. Turentine for 25 years, and in this union there were three children.
Betty was a former member of Saint Paul AME of Columbia, Tennessee. Upon moving to Indianapolis, she became a member of Forest Manor United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father Charlie P. Thomas and her mother, Mildred S. Thomas.
She was employed as a janitor at FMC Corporation. This company later became Rexnord Industries. She worked there many years until her retirement.
Betty M. Turentine departed this life on Sunday, July 3, 2016 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her son; Edward W. Turentine of Indianapolis, two daughters, Bettye D. Curry (Clyde) and Beverly K. Turentine; grandchildren, Elder Michael Birdsong, Edward W. Turentine Jr., Jasmine M. Turentine, Melissa M. Turentine, and Samuel J. Turentine, and a host of devoted cousins and special friends.
Family and Friends Visitation, Monday, July 11th from 11am until Memorial Service time of 12 noon at Forest Manor United Methodist Church, 4062 E. 34th Street.
