Arphellia Denise Armour

Mrs. Arphellia Armour, age 63 transitioned from Earth to Glory on Wednesday, March 30, 2016.Arphellia, or 'Doll' as she was affectionately known to those who knew and loved her, was born on November 22, 1952 in Friars Point, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Samuel Griffin and Dorothy Elmore. Arphellia married Rev. Larry James Armour on May 8, 1971 and they raised thirteen children together. She shared her life with her husband for 45 years. Her love for children led her to open Arphellia's Adorable Daycare, where she was able to use her expertise in childcare to help parents raise their own children. Arphellia confessed her belief in Christ and was baptized at an early age. After coming to Indianapolis she united with the Pentecostal Church of God, where she has been a faithful member for 48 years. Arphellia was loved by many and will be missed by all she welcomed into her home and heart. Mrs. Arphellia Denise Armour leaved to cherish her memories: her devoted husband, Rev. Larry James Armour; her children, Jayce Armour, Larry Griffin, Connie Griffin, Antonio Armour, Patrick Armour, Yvette Armour (Shelton), Shanika Armour (Nelson), Kuiana Armour (Brown), Tinesha Armour (Hardiman), Juan Armour, Crystal Armour, Kendra Armour and Deaondra Armour; sisters, Mary Toliver, Daisy Carson, and Jennifer Elmore; brothers; Earl Elmore, Jr., Johnny Elmore, Ozzie Griffin and Ricky Elmore and countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren other beloved relatives and friends.Family and Friends Visitation only will be held on Wednesday, April 6th from 10am until 12 Noon at Lavenia and Summers Home for Funerals 5811 East 38th Street.Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
