Anya E. J. West, 23, of Indianapolis, IN was born January 9, 1998 to Dana Holman and Jimmie West Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory, sisters: Jazmine Askew, DeAija Carter-Cox and JaLynn West; brothers: Calvin Holman, Jimmie West III, Isaiah Foster, Jameel West and Julius West; grandparents: Vernita Comer, Peter Holman Sr. (Chenita), Paula Ford, James West (Cheryl) and Bernadette Byers; great-grandmother, Sallie Reynolds; bonus mom, Helena Wells-Eiland; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, family, God sisters, God brothers and God children.
Nunu was the first nickname given to her by her daddy. Only a select few could call her by that name. She was born a boss and a beast. She loved playing all sports including skateboarding, race cars and karate. 1st place trophies filled the house. She put her all into everything she did even when it came to what she did not want to do. She gave it the same energy and did not do it. No matter what she always made everything fun and made sure you laughed. You could not help but love her. If she said she loved you, she showed you. Acts of service was her love language. Giving roses was her signature.
You did not go without as long as Anya was around you. She was a natural giver to many. She became an entrepreneur at an early age by first selling her scribbled drawings for $1, to selling candy and then shoes and clothes. She eventually made the dream to have her own clothing line come to life, Grind To Get Rich. She sold shorts, shirts and boxers. She put all her talents to use from customizing clothes and shoes, to photography, wrapping vehicles and helping create music videos and comical skits.
Also known as Veego Santana. Music was her LIFE. All she wanted to do was “make it big” in the music industry. From producing her hit singles and videos such as, “Trending, Mask Up, and Let’s Get Ugly”, to being featured on several musicians tracks locally and in other states. Little did she know she was already bigger than her music itself. She was a gift from God. Some people just never knew that she was a true angel who descended upon this earth passing through to teach us some life lessons. Her heart was bigger than anyone could ever comprehend. To say that she will be truly missed is an understatement. There will never be another Anya E. J. West – Ascended back to heaven September 6, 2021
