Anthony Frederick Tomasello Jr., also known as Tony, was born to Anthony Tomasello Sr. and Rose Barbara Ginter on April 16, 1943 in Watseka, Illinois.
Tony grew up in Kitley, Indiana with his little brother, Timothy Tomasello. Tony relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana at the age of 17 years old and that is when he landed a job at Roy Steels/Blocks. Soon after, Harry Kimmel offered him a deal he could not resist to come and work at L.S. Ayres/Kimmel Shoe Repair. While working at Kimmel Shoe Repair with James Wilson Sr., Tony met his daughter, Mamie Wilson who soon would become his wife.
A devout Catholic, Tony’s wife to be converted into Catholicism and they were wed on June 10, 1963. They went on to have five sons.
Tony continue working for Kimmel Shoe Repair for over 50 years and still remained active after retiring. Tony enjoyed shoe repair, family most of all, western movies and buying his grandchildren gifts from the Catholic bookstore.
Anthony Frederick Tomasello Jr. passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020 at the age of 77 years. His parents, Anthony Tomasello Sr. and Rose Barbara Ginter; wife, Mamie Wilson Tomasello; son, Anthony Tomasello III and granddaughters, Avajia Lewis and Tee’Shauna Easler all preceded him in death.
Tony leaves to cherish his precious memories to his children: Mykel Tomasello, Ronald Tomasello Sr. (Doyce), Mario Tomasello (Teresa) and Gino Tomasello; twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives, friends and his church family.
