Anthony E. 'Ao' Owens Sr.

Anthony Earl Owens Sr., also known as 'AO', the son of Howard C. and Gloria M. Owens was born February 21, 1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended Indianapolis Public Schools #42, Crispus Attucks High School and Northwest High School. Anthony received his Master's degree in Social Psychology.

He was a son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, great uncle and friend to all that knew him.

'AO' was employed at St. Vincent Hospital/Touchpoint for 15 years before passing away. Anthony accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Era Church.

Anthony was united in Holy Matrimony to Daisy Mansfield on February 13, 2010.

He loved spending time with his family and friends and was known as the man with the smile. He loved playing all sports, but basketball was his heart and he has trophies to show for it.

Anthony Earl Owens Sr. departed this life on Friday May 4, 2018 at the age of 66 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Gloria Owens; brothers, Robert Owens and Howard 'Monster' Owens Jr.; and sister, Laura Owens-Moore-Hall-Lloyd.

'AO' leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Daisy Owens; sons, Anthony 'Fatboy' (Robin) and Robert 'Shorty'; daughter, Whitney; grandchildren: Dyron Simmons, Vayana Walker (Kevin), Malia Allen, Davion Grundy, Robert Owens Jr., Vaysha Owens and Lakayia Owens; six great-grandchildren; sisters: Eleanor Harvey, Pamela Bryant, Debra Watson and Diane Johnson; a host of many loving relatives, nephews, nieces, friends and his St. Vincent Family.
