Anthony Any Banks' Cox

October 18, 1957 — November 24, 2018

Anthony Cox was born in Indianapolis, Indiana October 18, 1957. He was the fifth of seven children born to William Cox, Sr. and Jennie Veatrice (Miller) Cox. He departed this life on November 24, 2018, at Indiana University Hospital.

Anthony confessed his belief in God at the age of seven years old and was baptized at Mt. Paran Missionary Baptist Church. He had a strong belief in God and attended church regularly with his wife at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Anthony married his long time love Jacquelyn Brown on December 9, 2013. Though only married a short time, they had been together for over 18 years.

Anthony was educated in the Washington Township schools of Indianapolis, Indiana. He worked in manufacturing and was a member of the pipe fitters union and local union 120. He also was a member of the Black Angels Motorcycle Club from which he retired after he was no longer able to ride.
Anthony loved music, dancing, motorcycles, dogs, cooking and fishing. He especially liked fishing with his good friend Al Reynolds. As a young man he and his life- long friend, Greg Henderson, would get dressed up in three pieced suits and go to parties. Everyone loved their coordinated dance moves and style, the 'businessman'. An avid fisherman and sports fan, Anthony would not miss an opportunity to go fishing or watch a sporting event with family and friends. He especially liked frying up his catch and sharing it with friends and family. Anthony also loved dogs. He would not miss an opportunity to make room in his heart for a dog that needed a home.

His uncanny sense of humor and unconditional love for his family, including his daily phone calls, will be greatly missed. Anthony was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, brother- in-law and friend. He will be truly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory his dedicated and loving wife Jacquelyn, son Jalen Brown, grandson, Jalen Brown II, brothers William (Vanessa) Cox, Ballard (Marie) Cox and Billy (Penelope) Cox, sisters Linda (Brian) Hogan, Cherry (Anthony) Malichi, Deborah (James) Douglas , JoAnn (Carl) Shotwell, and Angela Bollen, Aunt Marie Miller, Cousin Vicki Miller, Uncle Melvin Green as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Cox and Jennie Cox-Johnson, maternal grandparents Banks and Veatrice Miller, Aunt Peggy (Bill) Couch, brothers Dennis (Betty) Cox, Richard Bollen Sr., sister Yvonne (James)Tyson and infant brother.

Also mourning the loss of Anthony is Jaquelyn's father Charles Brown Sr., and her siblings Donald Brown, Charles (Tonia) Brown Jr., Tonya (Jerry) Thruston, Beatrice (Dr. Efrim) Moore, Deanna Haynes, Christopher (April) Brown, and his favorite four legged friend Bruno Oh-No!!

Until we meet again….
