Annie D. Harris

Annie Doris Harris, the daughter of Willie and Anna Laura Griffin, was born September 20, 1943 in Greenville, Alabama. She was affectionately called 'Dot' by her family and friends.

Annie received her education at the Greenville Training High School.

In 1961, Annie married the love of her life, Willie J. Harris. To this union four children were born. Annie and Willie remained married for 56 years. The family relocated to Indianapolis in 1972. Annie joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church of Indianapolis, Indiana where she was a faithful member for over 30 years.

Annie worked for LaTour Restaurant (RMA) for 34 years and she continued her career with Marriott Corporation and Raython until her health started to decline.
On May 23, 2017 Annie Doris Harris departed this earthy life at the age of 73 years old. God stretched out his arms of eternal love and took Annie home for a well deserved rest. She will be greatly missed.

Annie was preceded in death by two sons, Travis Harris and Jimmy Harris.

Annie Doris Harris leaves to cherish her precious memory, her loving husband, Willie J. Harris Sr., one son, Willie James Harris Jr. (Debra), one daughter, Trena Harris; brothers, Willie Albert (Lettina), Tommy, John Albert (Nellie Ruth), Willie Earl, Eli Grifffin, and Hosea (Claire); sisters, Carrie (Charles Boggan) and Joyceann Griffin; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
