Andrea P. Lamb Hill

Andrea P. Lamb Hill, age 72, passed away on November 24, 2020, in her hometown of Indianapolis. Born on February 3, 1948, Andrea was the daughter of the late William and Geraldine Lamb.

Andrea married the late Roscoe (“Rocky”) Campbell, III, and they had three children: Roscoe, IV (Rocky), Joy, and Scott.

Andrea graduated from Crispus Attucks High School and later attended nursing school at Ivy Tech while caring for her family. She had a rewarding and successful nursing career spanning over 25 years. After retiring from Methodist Hospital, she worked in senior care facilities and provided private duty home care until she retired from nursing in 1999.

Andrea was a member of Westside M.B. Church in Indianapolis.

Andrea was extremely kind, generous and loving to all she encountered. Her kindness and giving nature were evidenced in everything she did, from cooking and hosting annual holiday family gatherings to helping complete strangers. She was known for her beautiful smile, humor, and warm and nurturing spirit.

Later in life, Andrea enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, gardening, knitting and crocheting, spending time with family and friends and traveling with her husband, Charles.

Along with her parents, Andrea was preceded in death by her brothers, William (Billy) and Gregory, and sister, Donna Lamb Webb. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Charles Hill; children, Roscoe Campbell (Chrystal), Joy Cox (Ronnie), and Scott Campbell (Rachael); her siblings Jerria (Maxine) Jones and Esther Denise (Neci) Bryant; 44 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her aunt, Sandra Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

In keeping with Andrea’s wishes, private family services will be held, and there will be an inurnment ceremony at Crown Hill Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date due to COVID-19.
