ALBERTA ROBINSON was born April 25, 1943, in Brookhaven, Mississippi to her loving parents Cornelius Neal Jones and Ida Mae Jones. She was raised in Detroit, Michigan by her Aunt Alberta B. Campbell (Other Mama)
ALBERTA graduated from Crispus Attucks High School. She furthered her education by attending and graduating from Clark Community College.
ALBERTA retired from IU Health University Hospital as an EKG Tech & Health Connections Secretary. She was a member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed attending House of Prayer Community Church.
ALBERTA was filled with so much love & joy she put a smile on everyone face in her presence. She enjoyed life and she lived it to the fullest. Traveling to see friends and family, music & dancing, being the family comedian, and her all-time favorite going to the casino are a few of the things that brought her joy. She welcomed family and friends into her home with open arms. To know her is to love her.
ALBERTA departed this earthy life on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. The Lord blessed the seasons of Alberta’s life to blossom, bloom and beautify the world around her and we were blessed to share in them. She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin Robinson Sr. her parents Cornelius & Ida Mae Jones & Alberta B. Campbell; son, Ronnie Robinson Sr.; siblings, Leslie Mae Leggins, Ernestine Johnson, Willie Jones (Carrie), Celestine Jones, Harry Jones (Carrie Lee), Neal Jones Jr. (Ruth), Emma Johnson (Leroy), Thomas Jones, Bernice Campbell, Linda Moore & long-life partner Joe Clark.
She leaves precious memories to be cherished by her sons, Kevin S. Jones Sr. (LaTonya), Calvin Robinson Jr.; daughter Patrice Robinson-Bethay and son-in-law Alfronzo Bethay, stepchildren Joe Clark & Felicia Clark. Loving sister-in law Hattie Holmes of Chicago, Illinois. Nineteen grandchildren, Thirty-four great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews & friends.
