Albert G. Sutton "Ag"

Deacon Albert Gene Sutton, the son of the late George Sutton and Savanah Campbell Sutton-Jones, was born on January 26, 1933 in Des Arc, Arkansas.

Albert was educated in the Memphis school system. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age. He was a devoted member of the Greater Galilee Institutional Missionary Baptist Church of Indianapolis, Indiana. He humbly served as a choir member, Trustee and Chairman of the Deacon Board for 32 years.

He was united in Holy Matrimony to Hattie Que Edwards on January 26, 1980.

He proudly owned and operated Al’s Good Gulf, Al’s Shell, Al’s Mobil and Al’s Auto Center, from where he retired in 2019.

Deacon Albert Gene Sutton departed this earthly life on Sunday, May 3, 2020. He was preceded in death by two daughters, three brothers and one sister.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife, Hattie Que Sutton; three daughters: Tonya Bridgewater, Felecia Garrett (Calvin) and Jetona Guthrie (Tony); five sons: Frederick Sutton, Alfred Taylor, Anthony Edwards, Terry Edwards (Decarla) and Jimmie Edwards (Kelly); sister, Lillion Effie Turnipseed; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and his loving church family.
