JAMES EDWARD JONES II entered this world on July 20, 1996 in Indianapolis, Indiana to his loving parents, James Edward Jones I and Kimberly Denise Gray-Jones. Showered with love and adoration from birth, James was the youngest of four children. Growing up, James loved being with his family and friends, playing football, video games, reading, listening to music and dancing. He danced so much with his mother, she gave him the nickname “Boogie”.
At age 8, James gave his life over to our Lord and Savior, confessing his love for Jesus Christ, believing that He sacrificed His life on the cross for his sins and that he was a new creation in Him.
JAMES, modeling after his older siblings, took a job when he was 15 years old as a cart pusher for Kroger. He gained a sense of independence and was known as a very hard worker, most times working two jobs at a time. During his teenage years, James was also afforded the opportunity to play international football.
He welcomed his daughter, Tabria into this world in 2012. They enjoyed spending quality time together laughing and talking. They bonded over their similar interest in dogs, reading and YouTube.
James began his 4-year journey working at KFC, in 2016, where he gained another family that cared for him deeply and enjoyed working with him daily. He was quickly promoted to shift manager and was well known for his wonderful customer service, commitment to being a team player and dedication to his work.
JAMES EDWARD JONES II was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 26, 2021. The Lord blessed him with 25 years, 2 months and 1 week here on earth. The way he touched the lives of his family, friends and everyone he met will not be forgotten. His smile and loveable personality will be missed.
He leaves precious memories to be cherished by his daughter, Tabria Brown-Criss; parents, James Edward Jones I and Kimberly Denise Gray-Jones; siblings: Frances Stubbs (Deon), Cassandra Gray, Jonathan Gray, Ronald, Chris, Sherry, Tonya and Alonso; his maternal grandmother and grandfather; best friend, Derrick (and family); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
