DAVID ZAHKI KENNER: OBITUARY

David Zahki Kenner was born May 21, 2002 to Nijawa Brooks and David Kenner in New Brunswick, New Jersey. David was the oldest of four siblings; Daijon Kenner, Namari Brooks, Zyerei Kenner and Natasha Williams.

He is also survived by Maternal Grandparents Kimberly Brooks and Malik Ali-Allah and Paternal Grandfather David W. Kenner.

David was a very giving young man, always putting others before himself. Everyone that knew David knows the love that he had for his mother. His love for her was so strong and powerful. He made sure she knew how much he loved her at every opportunity he could. He was her protector, and would do all he could to keep her safe and secure. And he will now be her Guardian Angel.

David was the kind of person that when you met him you automatically wanted to become his friend or be a part of his life. His smile warmed you all over. David made a huge difference in the lives of those that were fortunate enough to be in his small circle of friends.

David enjoyed simple things with his Family and friends. He enjoyed playing video games with his cousins and friends, especially Call of Duty.
He enjoyed playing Football. He played as a young child and also as a freshman in High School.

David really enjoyed eating out in restaurants. His favorites were Dave’s Hot Chicken, Chicken scratch, and Lindo Mexico. And he loved his mom’s home cooked meals. David always would know if some ingredient was missing from the food. David had a thing for Trefoil Girl Scout Cookies. He called them “The blue Box,” and they had to be frozen. He didn’t want any other Girl Scout cookie.

David was a hard worker and he had a very strong work ethic. He was dedicated to his job. He worked steady since graduating from High School, rarely ever missing work.

David gained his wings Sunday, May 7, 2023. He was predeceased by his grandmother Christine Kenner.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his Parents, Siblings, and a host of Aunts and Uncles, Cousins; and a special friend Kheara “KeKe” Carter.
